The Bahamani Tombs are located at Ashtur in the Bidar. These tombs were also easily reached via the road to the general hospital and also one can reach the eight Bahamani tombs through the Dulhan Gateway at the Ashtur.
The interior of the tombs were decorated with paintings. The walls of these tombs are decorated with the granite carving, gold and various different colors that show the medieval art of the Muslim.

The Bahamani Sultans were very interested in building the large sepulchers. About 4 kms of distance, various Mausoleums were present at Ashtoor in the East of Bidar. It is must to visit the Ashtoor before visiting Bidar. There were 12 tombs in the one row that make these tombs very attractive. Many beautiful structures like niches, arches and lofty domes were present. The most famous Ahamad Shah-al-Wali tomb is very popular for the written verses on its wall with a gold color on the darkest background. The interior of the tomb is finishing with the beautiful paintings. For ornamentation in the mausoleum, the symbol of swastika is used. The artistic skills were shown in the paintings made of colorful contrast in this tomb. A festival of Urus (Jatra) is made here each year, which is very popular in both Muslims and Hindus. With the combination of tile panels and arches with black stone, the tomb of Sultan Allauddin-Shah II was made that made it very attractive. There were more tombs were present that are made of trap masonry. In the tombs, stucco work is used to beautify the arches.
